The climate

The temperature is more or less the same all year around. Day temperatures range between 29 and 33°C, night temperatures range between 22 and 26 °C. A cool breeze blows constantly from the sea and it is never unpleasantly hot. In the upland regions, temperatures might be 5 to 8°C lower.

The temperature of the sea is constantly warm throughout the year. The average temperature ranges between 27 and 29°C.

Between April and October, it is usually dryer. Most rain falls between November and March. Although it is wet during this period, the southern peninsula Nusa Dua seems to escape from the heavy rainfall that can strike the centre of the island.

What may trouble visitors from temperature regions is the relative high humidity of the air. This may rise in February as high as 80% and falls in August and September by only about 5 %.

Those who would feel uncomfortable in conditions of high humidity should visit Bali between May/June and September/October, since during the rest of the year, with high air temperatures, it can almost be intolerable sultry.

In the very south, it is very uncommon to have successive days of rainfall. Heavy showers will quickly be dried up by the sun.
