We stayed at Good Karma, Selang Amed Bunutan Karangasem.....
This is a bungalow park with about 10 bungalows build exclusively out of bamboo. The walls and the support are all from bamboo!
This picturesque scene was on a deserted beach. We paid about 16 US $ for this hotel. It is not only cheap, but the service is perfect.
This place is excellent for young couples. Once the night falls, it is best to go to bed early in the evening. But before going to bed,
just sit down on one of the rocks and enjoy the spectacular view of the stars! I have never seen so many stars in the air in my life!
You will be awakened by the cocks screaming and the dogs barking. But it is worth getting out of bed around 5h30 AM!

If you watch carefully, and you zoom into a full picture, you will see small object at the horizon of the sea. All these object are thousands of fishing boats. This was very picturesque and the sunrise takes about 1 hour. The sun will appear around 6h20 AM. |

And here are some pictures of the bamboo bungalows. You have to experience this. When I woke up in the morning, it was still dark. Around midnight, all light are dimmed and electricity is disconnected. No way to turn on the light. Opening your eyes or not, you won't see nothing. I first had a feeling that I was a blind man, but when I opened the window, I could see the stars!
This feeling was unbelievable. I have never experienced full natural darkness in my life!

This is the view of the small beach. We have been snorkeling here for the first time. This is THE PLACE for snorkeling! Only 2 meters in water, and you already have a genius view on the fish. This place is magic! You can rent some snorkeling equipment at the restaurant. The price might be high, but in other places on the island you need to be transported with a boat to a good snorkeling spot. Here you even don't need this boat, you can swim easily to the coral reefs. They are right on the coast!
